Cozumel 12/1/10 and Pirates

Welcome to December!  We were wearing shorts and planning on having a Dolphin Encounter at Chankanaab.  We docked and had a quick breakfast before dropping Ashton off at Flounder's Reef.  Our original plan was to have Christina do the encounter first so that William, Brec and Ashton could watch.  We would then switch places for Brec and William to be in the water.  Danny, our concierge, suggested that we leave Ashton on the ship instead of taking him with us.  I cannot thank him enough as there was no way that would have been fun.  The water was very rough and we had to hold on to the fence in order to stay upright.  Clouds kept rolling in but the rain held off.  We all were in the water and got to meet Regina and her 5 month old baby.  We all got to pet the dolphin while she swam by.  It was neat to be so close to the dolphin.  Brec finally had enough and asked to get on the side of the water on the deck.  We helped him up.  He didn't want to get back in to kiss the dolphin or shake hands.  So we don't have a picture of him with the dolphin.  But we do have these of William and myself:

After the excursion it started to downpour.  We were glad to get back in the taxi and get back to the ship.  We got Ashton and then headed back to the room for naps.  Brec, William, and Mommy stayed in the master and watched Despicable Me while Ashton napped in the living room.  I thought I saw a shadow walk by the door and indeed room service had been in and left this:

One of the perks of being in concierge is having daily treats left in your room.  This was not one of our favorites.  Even Brec refused to try it.  Brec and Mommy left the room at 5 to go get pictures with characters.

Brec and Mommy finally made it to the dining room for dinner a few minutes late.  Emmanuel already had Ashton's food out for him so that he could eat before falling asleep.

Brec needed a picture too.

I wish we had pictures of the fireworks.  Brec and I were up front but I didn't have my camera with me since my pirate pants didn't have pockets.  William was having to take care of Ashton and he managed to get these shots of the characters when he was outside.  Right after Mickey tells Captain Hook that he needs to be nice and leave us alone, he has fireworks go off on the ship. The fireworks are amazing and it was magical watching Brec's face as he stood there watching.
