Last night we drove to Grand Prairie to see Prairie Lights. Originally we were going to Babe's for dinner beforehand but the wait was over an hour so we ended up at Pizza Hut. The website for Prairie Lights said to allow for extra time to for the busyness of the weekends but we had no idea. When we finally saw this sign
my clock said
We waited in line to get into the park to pay for an hour and a half. But, at that point, we pulled Ashton out of his carseat and let Brec unbuckle and hop in the middle seat. We rolled down the window and they enjoyed watching the lights and yelling "Merry Christmas" to other people. It was so cute to watch them and their little faces in awe of the lights.
The boys also got to ride the carousel.
We had a lot of fun and will go back again next year. We've learned to get there right when they open so we aren't getting home after 11:30 at night. I'm just glad that I brought the boys pajamas with us.
Since we didn't wake up until after 8 am, we I thought that we could go to Northpark and get tickets to see Santa and then get brunch at Cheesecake Factory. Oh my goodness, big mistake! When we got there at 9:45, there were already 80 people in front of us. We got ticket 81 and were told that we might be seen by 3:30. So, we decided to have brunch and then head back home for naptime for Ashton and for William to work. Brec and I went to see Tangled. Brec enjoyed eating his popcorn.
We then headed back to see Santa. We had to wait in a short line.
Ashton was not thrilled with this arrangement.
Brec had to have his serious talk with Santa. He asked for Troublesome Trucks from Thomas.
We then went to the Trains at Northpark. We never found our train but we had a great time.
Brec had to wear his "Baker Costume" to see Santa and he hoped that Santa would think he's cute.
